Statement of Commitment

A key factor to the success of our band program is a committed and dedicated group of students that want to participate at the level required for excellence. This commitment starts with Band Camp and continues throughout the entire year.

The privilege of membership in the Lemon Bay High School Band carries with it certain duties for the health of the band. In addition to the duties of the student to the band, these duties include support of the band by the parents through (1) timely payment of Fair Share, (2) attendance at events and performances, and (3) giving time when the need arises. A commitment to these duties is a condition of membership.

An important commitment to the program is Fair Share. This program relies on the Band Boosters to raise funds to support the program, including Fair Share fees to students participating in the program. This year’s Indoor Fair Share is $200 per student. In addition, the cost of uniform and shoes is the sole responsibility of the student.  Students with past-due balances, including Marching Band Fair Share, will not be able to participate in Indoor, unless their Marching Band Fair Share is paid in full and they are on an approved and current payment plan for Indoor.  All new assessments must be paid on time in order to participate.

We, the undersigned, pledge to remain current in our Fair Share for this Indoor season according to the payment schedule below, and to give our time for the support of fundraising activities for my child’s assessment and the general fund as they become available.

We understand that the consequences for failing to keep these commitments include the student’s exclusion from certain activities & performances.
