Originally from Greenville, Alabama, Mr. Ainsworth began his music career playing trumpet with the Greenville Middle School Band and later joined the Greenville High School Tiger Pride Band and the Greenville High School Mixed Chorus.  Mr. Ainsworth was trumpet section leader every year during middle school and became trumpet section leader during his freshman year of high school.  While a high school student, he attended the Alabama All-State Band twice, was a member of the Auburn University Honor Band, University of Alabama Honor Band, University of Montevallo Honor Band, Florida State University's Tri-State Honor Band, the Alabama Bandmaster's Association District VIII Jazz Honor Band, the Alabama Bandmaster's Association district VIII Concert Honor Band, the Alabama All-State Chorus, the University of Alabama Reading Honor Chorus, the Mongomery Youth Orchestra and the first alternate for the Alabama All-State Orchestra.  He also received numerous Solo and Ensemble medals at District competitions.  He was Drum Major during his senior year and won Superior ratings at every competition.  He also received the John Philip Sousa Award and the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellance.

Mr. Ainsworth began his drum corps career in 1996, marching soprano with the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps from Montgomery, Alabama.  He aged out of junior corps playing soprano with the Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1998.  He also began teaching music and visual to the Palmetto High School Band from Palmetto, Florida in 1998, and continued there until 2001.  During the summers of 2000 and 2001, he returned to the Pioneer to teach as a Visual Technician.  From 2002 until 2005, Mr. Ainsworth was the Visual Caption Head for the North Port High School Alliance Drum and Bugle Corps from North Port, Florida.  In addition to teaching the visual program, he also worked extensively with the hornline.  In 2005, he marched euphonium for the Syracuse Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corps from Syracuse, New York.  In 2006, he worked during the winter and spring teaching visual for the Kiwanis Kavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Kitchner/Waterloo, Ontario, Canada/Fort Myers, Florida.  During the spring of 2006, Mr. Ainsworth was also the music teacher at Neil Armstrong Elementary School in Port Charlotte, Florida and Assistant to the Band Director at Heron Creek Middle School in North Port, Florida.
 
 
Mr. Ainsworth attended Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida and received the Associate of Arts degree.  While at MCC, he studied trumpet with Dave Edmunds and Todd Craven and was a member of the Symphonic Band, Jazz Band and the Concert Chorus.  He also attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and received the Bachelor of Science in Music Education.  While at USF, he studied trumpet with Dr. Jay Coble and was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and the University Orchestra.  Mr. Ainsworth is currently a member of the Florida Music Educator's Association (FMEA), Music Educator's National Conference (MENC), the International Trumpet Guild (ITG), the Florida Bandmaster's Association (FBA) and Bugles Across America.
